Contractor's Fingers Severely Injured by Table Saw

|
We received an inquiry from a contractor who had had two fingers severed and one injured substantially when he was injured by a table saw. Injuries from table saws can certainly be significant. We explained that where there are serious injuries we are interested in investigating claims associated with recently manufactured table saws. The reason that the date of manufacture is important is that these claims assert that “Sawstop” technology detects contact between human flesh and the saw blade and instantly stops the blade. To make these cases, we must be able to assert that the saw was manufactured on a date that was reasonable to claim the manufacturer should have added this technology. This caller did not know the manufacturer, model or date of manufacture for the saw and was to see if he could find out those specifications and contact us again. If his case falls within the criteria we will certainly look forward to investigating this claim on his behalf.
